Juniors Night a Roaring Success

Last Tuesday we held our first junior family night for the season with over 100 people turning up from right across the club's junior ranks.

On a perfect sunny day, the kids combined to take on our cricket pentathlon with a series of batting, bowling and fielding challenges. With kids from 5 through to 15 it was great to see them all have a go and encourage each other.

After the pentathlon, the kids and their families all enjoyed a feed with our gold coin options going gangbusters thanks to the small army of helpers in the kitchen.

Finally, we heard a little bit from each of the coaches about how their teams are tracking with the common thread being how they all enjoying their cricket, supporting each other and staying in every contest. The coaches also presented player of the match awards across the early rounds for each team, with plenty of happy kids recognised for their early season efforts.

We're already looking forward to our next junior night in the new year, with more fun and more kids being recognised.
